Burnout was not something I ever expected to experience.

There was a time in my life when I believed I understood stress. Like many people, I had lived for years with the kind of pressure that comes with a full and meaningful life.

I was a wife, a mother, and a nurse who cared deeply about doing things well and being there for others.

My days were busy and full, and although I sometimes felt overwhelmed or tired, I believed stress was simply part of life.
